50 Shades! The Musical San Francisco Tour

On July 30th 2013 at 6:30pm History did his first show with the talented cast of 50 Shades! The Musical at The Marines Memorial Theater. This musical is a parody of the infamous book, “50 Shades of Grey”. It’s said to be poorly written and not that great of a book hence the parody. History believes that even though this book is catered mostly to females the show is hilarious and funny enough for anyone to see. This 69 minute show does the book plenty of justice.

The tour took place in San Francisco where he did a run of 10 shows in 6 days. History did a combination of singing, acting and dancing in the musical. The singing and acting was very minimal, but the majority of it was comical dance numbers.

In total he had 2 days to prep for the show without having the entire cast in rehearsal with him. History gives lots of credit to his dance partner Carolina Read for bringing him up to speed and helping him out with tips before, after and during the show :-). History is very familiar with this business and knows that it doesn’t matter how you do it, you just have to make it happen and he did. After the first show most of his  jitters were out and he was ready and pumped for the next one. The remaining performances went well and  received some great reviews throughout the week.

Aside from this wonderful show History didn’t find much pleasure in exploring the part of San Francisco he was in. One thing that can be said is that the hills in SF are no joke! They will have you sweating and out of breath from walking a couple blocks. If you’re into hills and working out this is definitely the place for you to be. Overall History had a great trip and he would recommend the show for anyone to see. *Two thumbs up*
